About

A gathering of minds. We bring together people from different backgrounds to share ideas, stories, and perspectives in an intimate setting designed for meaningful conversation. Inspired by the oldest human tradition — gathering around a fire to exchange knowledge — Nadwa creates space for thoughtful discussions on culture, science, philosophy, politics, art, history, and the questions that shape how we live.

Each gathering features a guest speaker, followed by open conversation where participants are encouraged to engage, challenge assumptions, and learn from one another.

In an age of endless scrolling and shallow exchanges, Nadwa is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover the value of gathering around an idea.

Not a lecture. Not a networking event. A conversation.

"There are very few events that leave you thinking long after they’ve ended, and Nadwa – A Gathering of Minds was one of them. Hosted in an intimate setting, the evening invited meaningful conversation rather than passive listening. Dr. Kgafela Mogogadi’s exploration of the origins of storytelling, its role in preserving culture, and our responsibility to carry stories forward was both insightful and thought-provoking. What I appreciated most was how the conversation extended beyond storytelling itself. It challenged us to consider the stories we tell ourselves—how they shape our identities, influence our decisions, and quietly script the histories and futures we live into. It also encouraged us to look more closely at symbolism, reminding us that meaning often exists beneath the surface of what we see and hear. The interactive Q&A that followed made the experience even richer, creating space for diverse perspectives and genuine dialogue among curious, like-minded people. If this first gathering is any indication of what’s to come, Nadwa has the potential to become a truly special space for conversation, reflection, and intellectual curiosity. I’m looking forward to seeing it grow and to attending future gatherings."
