Support Our International Concert Tour to Jersey and London

Dear Music Enthusiasts,

We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary opportunity for the talented young musicians at Pretoria Boys High School. Two of our prestigious ensembles, the PBHS Dixie Band and the Salon Boys, have received the opportunity to embark on an international concert tour to Jersey Island from October 1st to October 10th, 2023. This remarkable journey will not only showcase our students' exceptional musical abilities but also foster a cultural exchange and collaboration with international musicians.

The purpose of this tour is to present a series of captivating concerts that will enchant an international audience. Hosted by the Jersey Academy of Music our students will have the privilege of performing at different schools, churches, parks and distinguished landmarks, which includes the historic 12th-century Elizabeth Castle and the awe-inspiring 13th-century Mont Orgueil Castle.

Our ensembles will immerse themselves in the local music scene and engage in collaborative projects with talented musicians from the island. This unique opportunity will not only allow us to share our passion for music, but broaden our musical horizons and deepen the appreciation for different walks of life. To end off our exciting concert tour, we will be spending the final two days in London where our ensembles will have the opportunity to explore the rich musical heritage of the city, attend concerts by world class musicians and enjoy some well deserved sightseeing.

However, we cannot embark on this unforgettable journey without the support of our community. That is why we are reaching out to you, the public, through our crowdfunding initiative.

Your generous donations will directly contribute to ensuring that our young musicians can participate in this life-changing experience. The funds raised will go towards travel expenses, accommodation, meals, transportation, concert production costs, and other essential elements that will make this tour a resounding success.
