Horse Flow Academy runs one-day and 2-day horsemanship clinics across the Western Cape —

any discipline, any level, and auditors always welcome.

Ray Erasmus was trimming hooves on a family farm in Southern Africa at nine.

He went on to become one of the region's youngest Big Five trails guides,

walking guests through the Kruger and the Okavango, then moved to horseback

safaris where horse and rider face wild Africa together.

Out there he found the paradox that shaped everything since: those horses would

hold their ground in front of elephants, while horses at home, in complete

safety, spooked at plastic bags. The difference isn't bravery or breeding. It's

a regulated nervous system — and that can be taught.

Horse Flow Academy is where that answer became a method, built on equitation

science, affective neuroscience and hoof biomechanics, and set out in the book

Communicate With Your Horse.

The clinics are small and practical. You bring the problem you can't fix, and

you leave knowing what to do next.
