About
Rebirth Dance Company NPC is a community-based non-profit arts organisation based in Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa, founded in 2021 by Keenun Wales and Nathaniel Jacobs.
The company was born from a desire to create a new beginning for the performing arts in Worcester and to provide young people with opportunities to discover, develop and pursue their talents. Rebirth uses dance, drama and the performing arts as tools for youth development, mentorship, education and community empowerment.
Reviews
"This performance was well rounded with a delicious hybrid of physical theatre contemporary dance, Street and even some ballet. The performers were able to keep the audience in suspense, letting us wonder what the telephone on the stage represents. Themes of life and death and remembrance are at the centre of the production. My only feedback would be that I wanted to hear more of the text; there could be even more dialogue written for this piece. The music was at times a tad loud, overwhelming the spoken word. Overall, what a quality production in the heart of a small town like Worcester. You guys are on fire! "
