About

Pug Rescue South Africa, is a registered Section 21 Non-Profit Company (Registration No. 2010/008170/08) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO No. 930035784), dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned, surrendered, and neglected pugs in need throughout South Africa.

Our mission extends beyond our sanctuary gates. Through our Thanda Inja Project ("Love the Dog" in isiZulu), a Pug Rescue South Africa initiative, we assist a community in need in Daveyton, Gauteng, where we provide free sterilisation, vaccinations, and essential veterinary care to pet owners in need. This life-changing community engagement reduces suffering, improves animal welfare, and promotes responsible pet ownership in an underserved area with no access to veterinary care.
