“Although a natural process, it’s a tricky time for many women, and I’ve found that sadly, there is not enough known about it. Interestingly, the amount of time medical students spend studying menopause is much less than obstetrics, which is very surprising , since not every woman will give birth, but EVERY WOMAN WILL GO THROUGH MENOPAUSE! And, it’s not a very straightforward process, either! What I’ve also found in my practice, is that there are MANY symptoms as a result of menopause that women DID NOT KNOW (or were never told), were related to menopause, and they seek help in other areas to try and treat these difficulties, all the while, they just needed to focus on the hormone changes.”

For too long, Menopause has been a shrouded subject. We need to start openly discussing Menopause because, by talking about it, women can feel less alone, manage symptoms more effectively, and make informed decisions about their health and lifestyle. Openly discussing menopause and seeking support is crucial for women's well-being, helping to normalise the experience, reduce stigma, and facilitate access to information and treatment.
