Welkom Shopping Centre - Mandela Month Fundraiser

This Mandela Month, and in memory of the Father of our Nation, we are reaching out to you to hold on tight to our future generation. Children are the ones who are very vital for deciding how the world is gonna be after some years. So, if one can do some good in the life of a child then there can be change, at least the slightest change, in the world to come!

The objective of this fundraiser is to help the Jeugsorg Sentrum St Helene Children’s Home, located in Welkom. Every child is as precious as gold, and this is what the children at Jeugsorg Sentrum are taught - they are important and valuable. The Home is currently taking care of 11 children under the age of 11. The home operates according to specific core values. These values are courage, excellence, honesty, integrity, care, and empathy. They create eternal hope and have a Christian approach and slant in their service. Their ultimate goal is to make a difference in these kids’ lives. This a very poor Children’s home that does not get a lot of funds from the community as many people don’t know of them. They are in desperate need of help to make life easier for the kids. They are in St Helena Welkom in a double-story house. The facility has a long list of needs that they require to provide the Children with food daily, electricity, a backup water system, etc.

Welkom Shopping Centre needs your help to raise R50 000 to install a backup water system for them, which is indispensable to sustaining healthy livelihoods and maintaining these kids’ dignity.
