Sharon Jessop - Run Wild for Rhinos

About

Sharon is a wildlife warrior, conservationist, ultra-endurance athlete, adventurer, adrenalin junkie, motivational speaker and TV show host.

 

She completed a 21 day 877km run from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth for cancer awareness in 2017, running an average of 42km per day for 21 consecutive days as well as a Guinness World Record in 2020/1 by running the most consecutive half marathon distances by a female, i.e. 102 consecutive days.

 

She also completed a running expedition that took her to and through 11 of the Eastern Cape game reserves during September/October 2021 and is planning another expedition for September to December 2022 from the Komati Poort Border to Port Elizabeth.

 

With 3 Comrades marathons, 3 Two Oceans marathons, an Ironman, numerous 3-4 day stage trail runs, numerous other marathons and ultra-marathons, both on the road and on trails, and the running expeditions Sharon is a seasoned athlete.

 

As a storyteller and independent content producer with a flair for thrill, Sharon prides herself on producing quality programs that reflect a strong conservation, community and cultural conscience. A passionate traveler and tourist in her own country, the love for South Africa, her people and natural heritage shines through all the programs and documentaries that Sharon produces.

 

Sharon has been featured on Expresso, SABC TV News, EuroNews Green, Getaway Magazine Online and have been interviewed by 5FM, SA FM and on Algoa FM to name but a few.
