ABOUT WARREN ROBERTSON

Warren Robertson is a man for whom being funny has no boundaries. This international competition winning comedian has presented radio shows, hosted podcasts and written columns for a variety of magazines and newspapers, as well as brought roof raising laughs to stages around the country. In 2012 his one man stand up comedy show Spamily was lauded at the Grahamstown Festival where it received excellent reviews and sell out houses.

He first stepped on a comedy stage in 2006 at the now legendary Melville Underground and was soon headlining it. He spent 2008/2009 in the UK where he won numerous comedy competitions and appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The following year he returned to South Africa and was almost immediately nominated at the Comics Choice Awards as the breakthrough comedian of the year for 2011. Since then he has cemented his reputation with fans from a wide-variety of backgrounds, as a smart, playful and fiercely original comedian at clubs, theatres, festivals and corporate events.

His appearance on Comedy Central in 2013 alongside SA comedy great Al Prodgers, saw the latter refer to him as, "The most pyrotechnic mind in South African comedy", which Warren freely admits made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Currently he can be heard performing on Ballz Radio where he hosts a show with partner Chris Forrest, and read on Twitter at @WarrenRcomedian.
