Slow Life presents The Mike Rossi Project

ABOUT

Journey is the 3rd album released by The Mike Rossi Project and is a follow-up to the Mike Rossi Project 2015 release of Take Another Five (dedicated to Nelson Mandela and Dave Brubeck) and Trespassing Permitted (2013). 

Journey features a whirlwind tour of musical styles including Standards, Latin, Jazz-Rock, Swing, Blues, Modal and South African Jazz with some twists along the way. The music ranges from a gentle whisper, to a big band shout using trumpet, trombone, a variety of saxophones and woodwinds along with a stellar rhythm section. 

The band comprises of Mike Rossi soprano, alto, tenor, baritone saxophones, clarinet, flute, alto flute, piccolo, Lorenzo Blignaut on trumpet and flugelhorn, William Haubrich on trombone, Andrew Ford on piano and organ, Wesley Rustin on acoustic bass and Kevin Gibson on drums
