A Festive Concert
Sun Nov 15, 15:00 - Sun Nov 15, 16:30
St. Columba's Presbyterian Church
ABOUT
Feeling festive? Good. Feeling like a Grinch? Come anyway.
We’re holding our festive concert early this year, on Sunday, 15 November, so you can enjoy it before the December rush begins. It’s an afternoon of music for the season, sung in the beautiful surroundings of St Columba’s Presbyterian Church in Parkview.
The programme goes well beyond Bach (although we always include him, of course). You’ll hear movements from his Christmas Oratorio, Ola Gjeilo’s luminous Ubi caritas, John Rutter’s shimmering All Bells in Paradise, Berlioz’s Shepherd’s Farewell, the joyful Happy Joyous Hanukkah, a new piece called Christmas in Summer and a rousing We Wish You a Merry Christmas. There will also be a few carols for you to sing along with.
Afterwards, stay for our legendary tea, which is included in the price of your ticket.
When: Sunday, 15 November 2026, 3pm (doors open at 2.45 pm)
Where: St Columba’s Presbyterian Church, 45 Lurgan Road, Parkview
Tickets: Early bird R175 until 1 November, then R195. Tea and delicious eats included.
