Vaal Film Stockvel 2026 – Celebrating Local Cinema
The Creative Industries Marketing Stockvel (CIMS) proudly presents the Vaal Film Stockvel, a community film-screening initiative celebrating local filmmakers, showcasing South African stories and building sustainable audiences for the film industry in Sedibeng.
Following the success of the Sedibeng Dance and Vaal Theatre Stockvel initiatives, the Vaal Film Stockvel brings six locally produced films to the Vereeniging Civic Theatre across three exciting screening dates: 1, 15 and 29 November 2026.
Audiences can look forward to a diverse selection of films, including dramas and documentaries, showcasing the creativity, talent and storytelling of local filmmakers.
Through a collaborative marketing and ticket-sales model, participating filmmakers work together to grow audiences and encourage community support for locally produced cinema.
Venue: Vereeniging Civic Theatre, Joubert Street, Vereeniging
Dates: 1, 15 and 29 November 2026
