What you will experience
Expect quieter trails, a real sense of wilderness, and the chance to explore a part of Table Mountain that few people get to experience.
The route moves from easy jeep track into a more rugged landscape of indigenous forest, flowing streams, rock pools, shaded ravines, and steeper mountain terrain.
Along the way, there’s time to slow down, take in the surroundings, and enjoy the rare stillness of this protected landscape.
You’ll share the experience with a small group of people who enjoy hiking, exploring, and discovering somewhere a little out of the ordinary.
Who it is for
For hikers and outdoor lovers looking for something beyond Cape Town’s more familiar trails.
For anyone who enjoys discovering wild places, beautiful scenery, flowing water, forest trails, and a little adventure.
For those open to slowing the pace occasionally and taking the time to really notice where they are.
And for anyone looking for a memorable mountain day that leaves you feeling restored simply because you spent several hours immersed in an extraordinary natural environment.
This edition requires a moderate level of fitness. You do not need to be an experienced hiker, but you should be comfortable walking for several hours over varied and uneven terrain.
Some sections may be slippery, particularly near water, and there are short sections of steeper terrain and light scrambling.
What makes Healing Hikes different
This is more than simply covering kilometres.
Healing Hikes are designed as well-paced mountain experiences that give you time to explore, notice, connect, and enjoy the environment rather than simply racing from start to finish.
In Orange Kloof, the landscape does much of the work for us.
Forest, water, wilderness and quiet create their own kind of reset.
