JAZZ IS DAD: Meet & Greet with Mpumi Dhlamini
An intimate afternoon of music, conversation and sonic discovery.
Join us at The Living Archive for a special edition of Jazz Is Dad, featuring acclaimed musician and composer Mpumi Dhlamini for an intimate meet and greet, live music experience and record signing.
Known for his distinctive musical voice and contribution to South African jazz, Mpumi will take us on a journey through his musical world, sharing insights into his artistry, influences and the stories behind his music.
The afternoon will feature a special live performance with the Mpumi Dhlamini Trio, performing a selection of songs from his album and offering audiences an opportunity to experience his music in an intimate setting. Mpumi will also briefly introduce his ambitious upcoming project: a remarkable collection of 21 albums planned for release in 2027, giving us a glimpse into the ideas and creative vision behind this next chapter of his musical journey.
Beyond the performance, guests can look forward to conversation, a curated listening experience and an opportunity to meet Mpumi and have their records signed.
Hosted at The Living Archive, a curated cultural archive where African literature, music, visual art and memory converge, this gathering celebrates the musicians, stories and sounds that connect generations.
