Launch of the Econometrix Western Cape Fiscal Flow Report

The report uses publicly available government information to calculate government revenues raised in the Western Cape between 2015 - 2024, government spending in the province over the same period, and the resulting net fiscal position. It was written by Econometrix, a leading economic research company, and commissioned jointly by the Cape Independence Advocacy Group (CIAG) and Lex Libertas.

It will reveal the true extent to which the relative economic success of the Western Cape is being used not to improve services to the people of the province, but to subsidise failing provinces elsewhere, and to service South Africa's growing debt burden. For many, these results will be shocking.

There will be an opportunity for questions after the presentation.

Delegates will receive a written copy of the report upon departure, and coffee will be provided before and after the presentation.
