MEF Convocation & Awards 2026, powered by PPS

The MEF Convocation & Awards returns for a national celebration of education, excellence and opportunity. Created as part of the #MakeEducationFashionable movement, the Convocation brings graduates from different institutions, qualifications and disciplines together in their academic regalia for a shared celebration of what it means to achieve through education.

The 2026 edition is presented as the MEF Convocation & Awards 2026, powered by PPS. The programme will include the Opportunity Expo, formal Convocation proceedings, keynote and guest contributions, performances, the presentation of the 2026 MEF Awards, graduate photography and a three-course meal. Graduates are strongly encouraged to attend in their academic regalia.

The 2026 Convocation is built around three pillars:

Celebrating Education: A national graduation celebration bringing together graduates beyond the boundaries of individual universities, colleges and institutions.

Creating Opportunities: The Opportunity Expo will connect graduates directly with participating organisations offering employment opportunities, graduate programmes, internships, learnerships, bursaries, scholarships, mentorship, entrepreneurship support, professional-development opportunities and other pathways.

Awarding Excellence: The MEF Awards recognise outstanding achievement, leadership, research, entrepreneurship, innovation and impact across nine award categories.
