Richard's Racers x Hospice Fun Run

Run for a reason. Run for Hospice. Run in Richard’s memory.

Join us for the Richard’s Racers Pre-Run at Beaumont Primary School in support of Helderberg Hospice.

Richard’s Racers was started by siblings Liam and Kayla McCulley, inspired by their family’s journey with cancer. After losing their dad, Richard, to brain cancer in 2012 and watching their mom overcome breast cancer, they wanted to find a way to turn their love of sport into something meaningful.

Richard’s Racers first began in 2018 when Liam and Kayla took part in the Helderberg Hospice Cycling for Life event. After several years away, the initiative was revived in 2025 through the Winelands Marathon, where a team of runners came together to raise funds for Care for Cancer.

In 2026, Richard’s Racers is continuing to grow, with this pre-run raising funds for Helderberg Hospice and supporting the incredible work they do for patients and families in our local community.

Whether you are a regular runner, a casual jogger or prefer to walk, everyone is welcome. Come along, bring your friends and family, and be part of a morning centred around community, movement and making a difference.
