Songwriting Taster Workshop

Ever written a poem, come up with a melody, or had a bunch of musical ideas and wondered how to turn them into a song?

This one-hour taster workshop is an opportunity to experience what it’s like to co-write a song and get a feel for the creative process of turning ideas into music.

Together, we’ll take words, melodies and musical ideas and see what happens when we bring them together. You’ll get to collaborate with others, experiment, and work towards creating a song draft together.

Bring your instruments if you have one, bring your ideas, and most importantly, bring your curiosity! You don’t need to play an instrument to join.

Come with an open mind and leave with a taste of what songwriting and co-writing is all about, some new creative tools, and a song draft we’ve created together.

Suitable for: Grown-ups and children aged 10–13. Children aged 10–13 are advised to be accompanied by a grown-up.

The workshop is led by Natali Shaked, songwriter, vocal coach and facilitator, and a songwriting graduate of the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. She’s also a Raphaeli School mama and would love to see the Raphaeli community coming together to co-write some beautiful songs.
