Jozi 4 Autism Walk 2026

Sun Sep 20, 07:30 - Sun Sep 20, 12:00

Johannesburg Zoo, Lower Park Drive Entrance

ABOUT

A community initiative jointly hosted Jozi4Autism in collaboration with Autism South Africa (ASA), F.E.E.D organization (To Feed, Empower, Educate and Develop sustainable communities), Centre for Neurodiversity (University of Johannesburg), Fathers of Children with Neurodiversity (FCN).

The mission of Jozi 4 Autism is to:

  • To promote awareness of the prevalence of autism in South Africa with a particular focus on previously disadvantaged communities.
  • To raise funds to facilitate the assessment and interventions for children with autism in disadvantaged areas within Gauteng/South Africa.
  • To encourage social integration of children and families with autism within the context of the community.

Our theme for this year is "Fathers for Neurodivergent Futures".

Join us as we move beyond awareness to action. This year's walk shines a spotlight on neurodiversity in education and employment, while recognising the vital role fathers play in the lives of autistic individuals. Meet exhibitors, discover vocational opportunities, and connect with a community committed to inclusion.

There is secure undercover parking available at the zoo.
