ABOUT
The Mbuso Khoza Institute for Culture in partnership with Khuzumuntu Farmhouse invites you to Injobo Enhle Men's Conference - a one of its kind conference and concert focused heavily on men's mental wellness, cultural responsibility, and the African family restoration.
The conference takes place on 25 July 2026 at Khuzumuntu Farmhouse, in the rolling hills of Ndlangubo, EShowe in KwaZulu-Natal.
Hosted by world renowned Cultural Practitioner, Orator and Musician, Mbuso Khoza, together with Khuzumuntu Farmhouse founder Mbongi Khuzwayo, this landmark event blends historical wisdom with critical dialogues on contemporary masculinity. It provides a powerful, sacred space where men learn to heal, lead, and engage with the purpose to build healthier households and societies.
The location is in the sacred historic proximity of King Shaka’s KwaBulawayo Palace and Isihlahla Samagwala (The Tree of Cowards) — the site where King Shaka kaSenzangakhona tested the courage and resolve of his warriors. The event thus draws from the vision of fearless leaders like ILembe, and is a conscientious gathering designed to redefine modern African manhood. It will equip men with tangible tools to confront the challenges of 21st-century African manhood, exploring their deep cultural responsibilities plus unpacking prejudices and harmful cultural norms and stereotypes that are detrimental to personal and societal growth.
WHY INJOBO ENHLE?
The title Injobo Enhle draws inspiration from the traditional Zulu proverb, "Injobo enhle ithungelwa ebandla" - meaning a good plan or a well-crafted piece of attire is made in council, through collective wisdom. In an era where modern structures often pull men away from foundational values, this gathering serves as a sacred drawing ground.
Key Pillars of Discussion:
- The 21st Century African Man: Deconstructing what it means to be a modern African patriarch while staying firmly anchored in authentic cultural identity.
- Cultural & Household Responsibility: Equipping men with practical wisdom to lead, protect, and sustain their families effectively.
- Restoring Relationships: Candid conversations about eradicating toxic behaviors, treating women with absolute dignity, and breaking cycles of trauma.
- Mental Wellness & Vulnerability: Normalising struggles with depression and emotional weights in a confidential, supportive brotherhood.
