ABOUT
South African born LEO GEVISSER – who is a graduate of the famed Juilliard School of Music and a Young Steinway Artist – is now starting to gain attention in America and on the Continent. Prize-winner at the 16th Concours International de Piano d’Orleans, he has been invited to perform in France and Italy and is becoming a regular presence at various music festivals in Europe. He’ll be playing:
Grieg: Moods : Opus 73
Poulenc : Nocturne No 8
César Franck : Danse Lente
Poulenc : Thème Varié
Mozart : Adagio in B Minor
Franz Liszt : St Francis d’Assise (La Prédication aux Oiseaux )
St Francis de Paule (Marchant sur les Flots)
All Concerts take place on Sunday afternoons at 15:00 in the Linder Auditorium, Wits Education Campus, Parktown. There is safe, easy to find parking and on-site refreshments of coffee, tea, wine and snacks.
