Understanding Demand Avoidance: When a child cannot respond to expectations and demands
Thu Aug 20, 18:00 - Thu Aug 20, 19:30
Event is online
ABOUT
A child who refuses an ordinary task often meets a capacity limit when they are perceived as testing a boundary or choosing avoidance. This discussion explains why demand registers as threat in a high-gain nervous system, and how decreased load and a change in narrative make the task possible without a battle.
The online discussion and streaming will take place on the Spectrum Circle website - www.spectrumcircle.me.
Ticket holders will be issued a Circle Guest Token which will grant each holder access to the online discussion on the day.
