Sisonke Xonti x Dalisu Ndlazi x Jonno Sweetman

The Sankayi Jazz Series presents a special live album recording featuring three of South Africa's leading jazz musicians.

Saxophonist Sisonke Xonti, bassist Dalisu Ndlazi, and drummer Jonno Sweetman come together for an evening that captures the spontaneity, energy, and intimacy of live performance.

The concert will be recorded live in front of an audience and will unfold in two halves. The first set features the trio in its purest form, while the second half sees them joined by a string quartet performing specially commissioned arrangements by Viwe Mkizwana, creating a unique collaboration between jazz improvisation and chamber music.

This is a rare opportunity to experience - and become part of - a live album recording.
