The Sankayi Jazz Series is a curated live music experience that brings some of South Africa’s leading artists to an intimate setting where music, atmosphere, and hospitality come together.

Spha Mdlalose is one of South Africa’s most celebrated jazz vocalists, known for her expressive voice, compelling storytelling, and deeply personal approach to music. Her acclaimed debut album, Indlel’eyekhaya, established her as a powerful artistic voice, blending jazz, African song traditions, and contemporary influences into a sound that is both sophisticated and deeply rooted.

A graduate of the University of Cape Town’s South African College of Music, Mdlalose has performed alongside many of the country’s leading musicians and continues to captivate audiences with performances that are rich in warmth, emotion, and musical excellence.

Guests are encouraged to arrive from 18:00 to select their preferred seating and enjoy dinner and drinks before the performance. Seating is allocated on a first come, first served basis. To ensure an uninterrupted concert experience, food service is prioritised before the music begins at 20:00.
