Basson Laubscher is a SAMA-nominated South African blues-rock and roots artist, known for delivering self-penned songs with raw passion, grit, and honesty. Blending soulful guitar work, foot-stomping grooves, and roots-driven energy, his music moves effortlessly from heartfelt Americana-inspired ballads to gritty delta boogie, all filtered through a style that is unmistakably his own.

No stranger to the South African music scene, Laubscher has spent nearly two decades carving out his place as one of the country’s most respected alternative blues-rock voices. As the guitarist and founding member of acclaimed Afrikaans alternative rock band Zinkplaat, as well as a sought-after sideman to some of South Africa’s musical greats, he has earned a reputation as a guitarist who can make his instrument sing, howl, and whisper with equal conviction.

Often compared to Rory Gallagher for his fiery guitar playing and deeply emotive performances, Laubscher brings an old-school spirit to modern South African roots music — combining the heart of the blues with the swagger of rock ’n roll.

To date, he has released two records: the debut EP Shakedown, and the acclaimed follow-up Testify — a release steeped in soul, groove, and his unwavering devotion to the gospel of good old-fashioned boogie.

Jacob Swann, singer-songwriter, is a Cape Town-based Folk-Rock Artist, known for his thought-provoking lyrics and heart-warming melodies.

After starting his career in 2010 as an electric guitarist for various blues bands, he eventually decided to carve out his path in 2016, by starting his solo career. His SAMA nominated debut album “Brother” was recorded in 2020 and released in 2021. Not only was the album nominated for “Adult Contemporary Album of the year”, but the hit song “Lief”, won him the AITSA award for both Songwriter of the Year as well as Easy Listening Song of the Year.

Live performances have been described as “gripping” and “captivating”. Whether it’s with his band or in a solo acoustic performance, Swann is known for gripping the attention of the crowd, through his raspy voice as well as the skill and energy of his performance and musicians on stage. From electric rock ‘n roll, to acoustic love songs, Swann is able to move through different genres seamlessly, capable of entertaining both young and old.
