JPO Winter Season 2026
4, 11, 18 & 25 June 2026 – 7.30 pm at the Linder Auditorium
The Winter Season promises to be another bumper World Symphony Series, with a diverse, interesting and unique programme.
Conductor Daniel Boico, described by critics as "dynamic, vigorous, exciting and imaginative - an undisputed star who combines magnetic charisma with a skilled technique" returns for two of the Winter Season concerts.
For our first Winter Season Concert on 5th June, we welcome violinist, Elvin Ganiyev. Elvin was born in 1997 into a family of esteemed musicians. He has always performed with renowned conductors and orchestras in prominent concert halls and prestigious international festivals globally. In recent years, Elvin has won numerous awards and honors at prestigious international competitions.

Brahms Symphony No. 3, Op. 90 in F Major
Concert 2 features pianist Federico Colli, praised by The Daily Telegraph for “his beautifully light touch and lyrical grace” and described by Gramophone as “one of the more original thinkers of his generation”. Making her JPO debut performance, we welcome conductor Alexandra Arrieche, who commands a wide range of musical leadership skills, engaging a variety of audiences and communities joyfully and with resounding success.

Schubert Symphony in b minor, D.759, “Unfinished”
The third concert of the season’s programme features accomplished bayanist Stas Venglevski. Trained from his youth in the Soviet Union as a classical musician, Stas mastered the Bayan, a spectacular 20th century instrument in the accordion family.

The JPO wraps up its Winter Season with Rebeca Omordia, an award-winning British-Nigerian classical pianist and curator, internationally recognised for her pioneering work in African classical music.

Our popular Pre-Concert Talks will commence at 6.30 pm and are presented by Deano, previously from the Morning Drive on Classic 1027. Entrance to the talks is free and all patrons are welcome!
