ABOUT
The Wild Crew @ The Sheds: Creepy Crawlies
Even if there is a fear factor, few things are as fascinating to a child as creepy crawlies; spiders, millipeds and even scorpions, there are just so many out there and each one has its own awesome characteristics.
Did you know:
- Spider silk is antibacterial, anti-fungal, stronger than nylon and can stretch to three times its own length
- Millipedes have two pairs of legs for each body segment
- Scorpions can live without food and water for over a year
On Saturday the 9th of May we will be seeking them out in their natural habitats! We will find out why they choose to live where they do, what they eat and how they hunt. We will also see if we can build our own spider webs.
