ABOUT


A new art auction will be launched in the Cape Winelands. The Auction is hosted by two non-profit organizations that have dedicated their time to creating a positive impact in the lives of children with disabilities. Little Angels and Senecio have created a collaborative community initiative called “Standing Together for Those Who Cant”  in order to support mutual funding programs and to maximize the benefit that can reach these children in need.

On the 17th March 2018, the Bespoke Art Auction will be launched at Idiom Wine Estate and will bring together some of South Africa’s leading artists including Anton Smit, Lionel SmitJanko De Beer, Jimmy Law, Frans Groenewald, Norman O'Flynn, Gerhard SnymanVincent De BeerStanislaw Trzebinski and Jaco Kruger
 
The event is bound to grow on the annual calendar for philanthropists and people who are interested in supporting worthy charity functions, with renowned auctioneer Ariella Kuper handling the auctioning of valuable art lots.
 
The Bespoke Art Auction & Gala Luncheon tickets are available at R650 per head. Guests will enjoy a delectable 3 course meal and live music.
 
Artists and brands are welcome to reach out to the organizing committee should they wish to support this initiative.  


ABOUT THE CHARITIES
 
Little Angels provides a home for 14 children that require special care and nurturing as a result of their mental and/or physical disabilities. Little Angels aim to provide a safe haven for these children and ensure that they receive the correct and proper medication and treatment, special care that their parents often cannot afford to provide. Senecio supports children with physical disabilities in underprivileged communities in the Western Cape and empower their families and caregivers. By providing therapeutic intervention (done by Physio -, Occupational - and Speech therapists) and training of carers at Special Care Centres. They establish temporary outreach clinics and conduct home visits for children who do not have access to Care Centres and offer Hambisela training for facilitators, parents, caregivers and individuals with Cerebral Palsy. Read more about their work > www.senecio.org.za
