About Eric Clapton

From his early appearances in bands like John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream and Blind Faith, to extensive solo work, Eric Clapton has managed to mix the sounds of the blues, rock and pop music in a masterful manner. Songs range from the hard-rocking ‘Sunshine of your Love’ and ‘Layla’ to the laidback ‘Running on Faith’ and ‘Wonderful Tonight’, to the country-tinged ‘Alberta’. Mel Botes will also present tracks where Mr. Clapton collaborated with other artists: JJ Cale and the great bluesmen Robert Cray and B.B. King.

About the Artists:

Taking centre stage, acclaimed vocalist Mel Botes’ valve-driven electric guitar and virtuosic acoustic guitar playing is complemented by legendary keyboard player, Simon Orange’s piano and organ.
