IN THE HEART

A heart-wrenching story taking us on a journey of three women living in a small village called Ntunda,

near the Swaziland border. It is set during an era of political and socio-economic struggles in the village

and surrounding areas. Everyone in this village is looking for the big break to get out of the poverty and

start afresh in Nelspruit. The production shows the hardships, mystery, misfortunes of the villagers

We are introduced to Glenda, a character married to Makhuhleni, their union is one filled with adultery,

secrets and lack of fulfillment. Lisbet (shop assistant at Glenda’s shop) makes an entry into the scene and has an affair with Makhuhleni

in Nelspruit. Things don’t go well and she returns to the village

Angel’s future is promising but will she survive the tests? Angel is the only one representing purity,

sanity and hope in the midst of the evil, chaotic life of the villagers.
