BizNews David Carte Memorial Trophy at Champagne Sports

A tradition of the BizNews Conference is a golf competition for the David Carte Memorial Trophy - named after one of South Africa's best financial journalists who, for decades, selflessly and courageously provided those he served with the content of the highest quality and with fierce independence. David and BizNews founder Alec Hogg spent more than half of their working lives as colleagues on the Rand Daily Mail, Finance Week, the Sunday Times, and Moneyweb.

The field is limited to 48 players. Participation is restricted to BNC delegates.

Tee off is on the morning of Friday, 14th August at Champagne Sports Resort Golf Club. The competition is betterball stableford with a random draw for partners.

The cost is R750, which covers golf carts, food and drink at the halfway house, and green fees.

There will be a post-event prize giving.
