Nelson Mandela Bay Main Public Library Tour

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) Main Public Library has been closed to the public for 12 years. Under the supervision of NMBM staff, the Main Library Friends open the Library as a tourist attraction when cruise liners are in port. Come and experience this heritage gem of the city by participating in a guided tour of the facility. The facility is awaiting the next phase of renovation and has limited ablution facilities available. To manage overcrowding, due to the high levels of public demand, free access tickets are available through Quicket. Guided tours start from the Queen Victoria statue and are free. Voluntary donations are used to support the work of the Main Library Friends.
