More on the Artist:

Bheki Khoza stands as one of South Africa’s most distinctive jazz voices. Renowned for his uncommon left-handed guitar technique and deeply spiritual approach to music-making, Khoza’s sound is rooted in Afro-jazz, blues, and improvisational freedom. His performances are known for their emotional depth, meditative quality, and storytelling power, making every appearance a singular and unrepeatable experience.

The Band:

Moses Nkuna is a 30-year-old bassist whose sound is rooted in soul, discipline, and a deep commitment to musical growth. Born and raised in Pimville, Johannesburg, his musical journey began in the church, where he developed a strong foundation, sharp instincts, and an expressive approach to the bass that continues to shape his artistry.

A year ago, Moses relocated to Cape Town, embracing a new chapter filled with creative exploration and artistic expansion. While his roots remain an essential part of his musical identity, he is currently immersed in jazz, studying its language, traditions, and freedom, and allowing it to broaden his voice as a musician.

Driven yet humble, Moses is passionate about continuous learning and artistic evolution. He believes in music as a powerful tool for connection, inspiration, and transformation, and he is steadily carving a path that reflects authenticity, growth, and purpose.

On drums, Jermaine Jacobs brings rhythmic finesse and versatility. One of Cape Town’s most sought-after drummers, Jacobs is admired for his ability to navigate complex rhythms with subtlety and swing. His intuitive listening and dynamic control make him an ideal collaborator in an intimate trio setting where nuance and interaction are key.

The Show:

This special performance will take place at The Alma Café, a beloved cultural venue known for its warm atmosphere where the intimate setting offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience world-class jazz up close, where every note, gesture, and musical exchange can be fully appreciated. This event promises a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with master musicians in a setting that allows for deep connection between artists and audience.
