Join us for an enchanting evening of chamber music featuring the captivating combination of flute, clarinet, and piano. The programme opens with the fiery brilliance of Saint-Saëns’ Tarantella, a whirlwind showpiece that sets the stage for a thrilling musical journey. Next, the flute and clarinet intertwine in the playful and expressive Duet by Robert Muczynski, showcasing the vibrant timbral blend of the two wind instruments. Two solo pieces ease listeners into the musical sphere before and after the interval featuring works by American composer, Viet Cuong, and British composer Ian Clarke.

The ensemble then expands for Rêverie Russe, a romantic and lyrical trio by Cavallini that evokes the dreamy spirit of Russian song. The concert concludes with Maurice Emmanuel’s Sonate pour flûte, clarinette et piano, a richly textured and rarely heard gem that brings the programme to a colourful and satisfying close.
