The final match of another ground-breaking year for Springbok Rugby! Our boys take on Wales, a team currently in the doldrums, but one that has always proved a nuggety and challenging opposition.

The Springboks have, with the exception of that awful second half implosion against Australia, and a (p)lucky All Blacks win at Eden Park, swept all aside in 2025. Back to back Rugby Championship winners for the first time ever, back to back 14 man winners on the Northern Hemisphere Tour and finally, a test match for the up and coming Boks to dazzle against Wales. With many of the frontline players being released back to their clubs, this match is going to be a preview of the future of Springbok rugby.

I imagine players like Mchunu, Hooker, Moodie, Venter and Porthern are all going to get an extended stint to strut their stuff against international opposition.If you're as keen a Springbok follower as I am, you will know that this game is not simply a write off, but instead, a fascinating glimpse into the behind-the-scenes machinations of our mad genius coach, and the depth that he's built over the last 6 years.
