Wits Linder Auditorium
ABOUT

The Johannesburg Musical Society returns to the Linder Auditorium in 2026 for a series featuring prestigious artists from Spain, Bulgaria, Russia, Azerbaijan, the UK and South Africa. Eight specially curated concerts shine the spotlight squarely on pianists, with a sprinkling of strings. All the artists have won multiple competitions and are highly sought after soloists and chamber musicians.
Our April concert features Spanish Pianist Leo de Maria - winner of the 2024 Unisa International Piano competition. He will present a programme of works by Schumann, Granados, Liszt and Ravel. This concert is presented in collaboration with the Cape Town and Freestate Philharmonic Orchestras.
All Concerts take place on Sunday afternoons at 15:00 in the Linder Auditorium, Wits Education Campus, Parktown. There is safe, easy to find parking and on-site refreshments of coffee, tea, wine and snacks.
