The last kilometre of the route follows the shoreline. Weather permitting, we will extend the hike with a 1.5k m beach walk to Dappat se Gat and back (3 km in total), where a refreshing swim is highly recommended!

DANIE MILLER HIKE
The Danie Miller Hiking Trail will surprise you with spectacular views of Gordon’s Bay, False Bay and the harbour. The route winds through a rich variety of indigenous fynbos and crosses a few small mountain streams.
We will meet at this location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JTfQSieSmtDwJWXo6
The group will meet at the Gordon’s Bay Harbour, then enjoy a warm-up walk along Faure Marine Drive sidewalk beside the ocean, continuing a short distance through the residential area to reach the start of the trail.
The trail follows a contour path above the upper houses, stretching the length of Gordon’s Bay just below the iconic Anchor. It’s a lovely ‘urban’ hike that traverses the lower slopes of the Steenbras peaks, with plenty of great photo spots along the way. The route is rocky, so a good pair of hiking shoes is a must. And since we will be hot and sweaty after the hike, a refreshing swim at Bikini Beach will be a must!
