BNC#8 - The 2026 BizNews Conference in Hermanus
Tue Mar 10, 00:00 - Thu Mar 12, 18:00
Hermanus Municipal Auditorium
ABOUT
WELCOME TO BNC#8
The eighth annual BizNews Conference, BNC#8, will be held in Hermanus from March 10 to 12, 2026.
The event will feature updates from newsmakers, thought leaders and tribe favourites. BNC#8 is being broken into six clearly identifiable themes. A major break from previous events is the introduction of a panel discussion to conclude each subject.
After the first five events were held in the Drakensberg, this is the third time the BizNews tribe will be gathering at a Marquee erected specially for the event within the Municipal precinct of the Western Cape resort town of Hermanus. The venue is within walking distance of plentiful accommodation, excellent restaurants and the world-famous Hermanus Cliff Path.
A star-studded lineup of 22 keynote speakers will grace the event, with a sprinkling of international guests adding to the occasion.
The experiment with two simultaneous streams has been dropped, with all sessions accessible to the 600 delegates in a specially built structure that will comfortably accommodate them all. The first morning of the event is dedicated to an investment masterclass featuring South Africa's top fund managers and special guests from the US (Anthony Ginsberg) and the UK (Sean Peche).
As with previous events, the 2026 BizNews Conference is designed to provide an excellent opportunity for members of the tribe to interact directly with the keynote speakers, old (and new) friends from previous BNC events, and members of the BizNews team.
The event begins on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, immediately after the inaugural Liberty Conference, brainchild of the late Neil de Beer, to be held on Monday, 9th March at the same venue. BNC#8 closes on Thursday, March 12, at 18:00. Delegates will be fed and watered, but accommodation is for their own account.
Apart from the Investing Masterclass, where our gurus have half an hour each, followed by a panel discussion, each keynote speaker is allocated an hour, divided into three segments. The first 30 minutes are from the podium, the following 15 minutes are conducted in interview style with BizNews editor Alec Hogg, and in the final 15 minutes, the keynote speaker answers questions posed by delegates through the custom-created BNC WhatsApp channel
Paid-up delegates will be sent details of recommended accommodation and restaurants.
