Code 4 Change is an annual innovation and technology event hosted by D&C Consultants SA, designed to bring together developers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to solve real-world problems through technology. The event creates a collaborative space where ideas meet action, empowering participants to build solutions that drive social impact, foster entrepreneurship, and enhance community development.
Through hackathons, workshops, mentorship, and networking sessions, Code 4 Change encourages innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving. Participants, ranging from individuals to small teams, engage in coding, app development, and digital design challenges, all aimed at creating scalable solutions for communities across South Africa.
The event celebrates tech-driven social innovation, providing a platform for participants to learn, grow, and showcase their talents while contributing to meaningful societal change.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
D&C Consultants SA (Non-Profit Organisation) is a dynamic, future-focused organisation based in Cape Town, committed to empowering underprivileged communities through technology, education, and innovation.
Founded and led by Chad Paulse, a UN Member and Investec Early Stage Entrepreneur (ESI) candidate, D&C is driven by the belief that inclusive digital transformation can unlock new opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across South Africa.
Our key programmes and initiatives include:
- EVOLVE Programme: A youth-focused social enterprise model connecting unemployed individuals to training and micro-task opportunities.
