iThongo_Experience Presents Igxakusha eNtungo.

A collaborative poetic and musical performance by Sinethemba Nkonki known as shaman_chant and Khangelani Ncamile known as Zanzolo Kwantu, two isiXhosa writing poets whose work is deeply rooted in the preservation, celebration, and contemporary expression of the isiXhosa language.

The title Igxakusha eNtungo is a compound title, a combination of titles of projects or concepts Igxakusha EP by Shaman Chant and Entungo LP by Zanzolo.

The production brings together indigenous poetry, chant, rhythm, and storytelling to create an immersive cultural experience that honours Xhosa oral traditions while presenting them through a modern performance format of spoken word, musical textures, and ancestral invocation.

We did this because of the mutual respect we have for each other on how we explore themes of identity, memory, spirituality, and linguistic heritage.

Zanzolo both as a traditional healer and hip hop practitioner views iNtungo as a Cypher where intricacies of manhood are Deciphered. A progressive communal Dialogues space. As afrikans we are farmers of knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

Shaman Chant views Igxakusha in his own poetic sense as a calabash of thoughts that sat in the center of the gathering of cultural custodians---Igxakusha held an elixir that heightened passion.
