Walk for Them Charity Fun Run

The Walk for Them Charity Fun Run is a 4 km and 8 km community event hosted by Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) on Saturday, 29 November 2025, along the North Beach Promenade (Suncoast Casino).

The initiative forms part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign and brings together government, business, and communities to take a visible stand against gender-based violence (GBV). It aims to raise awareness, inspire collective action, and generate funds for pre-vetted non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Durban and surrounding areas that provide shelter, counselling, and essential support to women and children affected by GBV.

All proceeds will be donated to these organisations in line with the Transnet Sponsorship and Donations Policy.

Participants are invited to take on the 2x8km Challenge - entering as pairs to complete 16 km in honour of the 16 Days campaign, symbolising unity, responsibility, and collective action
