Transnet Port Terminals

Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is the commercial cargo-handling division of Transnet SOC Ltd, South Africa’s state-owned freight and logistics company. TPT is responsible for handling imports, exports, and transshipments across seven of the country’s commercial ports - including Durban, Richards Bay, Port Elizabeth, Ngqura, Cape Town, Saldanha, and East London.

The division manages four main cargo sectors: containers, bulk (mineral and agricultural), breakbulk, and automotive, providing services such as container stuffing and destuffing, as well as managing cargo flow across an integrated multimodal logistics platform. Through its nationwide operations, TPT plays a vital role in facilitating trade that drives South Africa’s economic growth and regional connectivity.
