ABOUT
A night of tales, trails, and the stoke of adventure
Join us at The Movement Centre for a cosy, community evening of Campfire Stories — Part 1 — where local adventurers, explorers, creatives and everyday legends share the real stories behind their journeys. Think of it like story time… but for grown-ups who run mountains, surf swells, cycle crazy distances, climb hard, highline far and find wild moments in the everyday. From alpine peaks to backyard micro-missions — these are the tales that remind us that adventure is everywhere (and that it’s possible for you, too). We’ll have a projector set up for slides and pics, but the real magic is in the stories: how people made it happen, what they learned along the way, and the stoke they bring back to life, work, training, and community.
What to Expect:
- Casual vibes with great humans — sit on beanbags, boulder pads, chairs or boxes.
- Local food from Chef Niren (yes, curry from the van!)
- Tea of Life Kombucha (because we like to keep it real and healthy).
- Jack Black Beers
- Stories from: Leo Thesen, Johan Wahl and Jana Marincowitz, Tracy Sanders, Jess Meniere and Thomas Vermaak
- A space to listen, laugh, connect, and leave inspired.
We’re keeping it small and intimate (limited seats!), so please grab a spot for just R50 – this helps us cover some small setup costs.
Community-supported. Adventure-fuelled.
Soft intro and big love to our friends and partners that help to put you in the right gear: Scarpa, Black Diamond, Altra, Sapmok, Common Tread, Vertigo Gear, Tea Of Life. They'll be there on the night too and it'll be great to introduce you.
