ABOUT
Our social series is dedicated to celebrating sustainability and the rich heritage of indigenous African ingredients through innovative culinary experiences. Each event in the series focuses on a specific ingredient; our first, second and third series focused on Maize, Impepho, Rooibos, Sorghum, and imifino respectively, showcasing their versatility and cultural significance.
These gatherings, hosted by talented chefs Asi and Athi, aim to inform and stoke meaningful discussions about the significance of using locally sourced, traditional ingredients. Through a carefully curated multi-course menu, we tell the story of each ingredient, blending traditional and contemporary techniques to create memorable dishes.
Our goal is to foster a deeper appreciation for African cuisine, promote sustainable practices, and bring people together over shared meals and stories.
This Sixth episode will shine a spotlight on two ingredients: Amadumbe and sour figs with a special Six Course Plated menu curated by our talented chefs.
