What’s a Schultüte?

In Germany, the first day of school is made extra special with a fun tradition—a "Schultüte" or school cone! It's a large, colourful cone filled with treats, school supplies, and little surprises to kick off the school journey with a smile.

The cone is usually made from cardboard, fabric, felt—whatever you like—and decorated however you want.

Not feeling super crafty? No worries—I've got you covered! At the workshop, you'll get a ready-made cone, materials like cardboard and fabric, and all the help you need to bring your design to life.

Once you're done decorating, you can fill the cone with goodies your child will love. Need inspiration? Check out our online shop for ideas on themes and fillers.

If you can arrange a workshop with other parents on a date of your choice, I will accommodate you accordingly and we can host your private event.

If you want a ready-made, customised, bespoke Schultüte, please book only via the online shop.

Fine print:

The ticket you buy entitles you to attend one of the four workshop days. Each workshop caters for a maximum of 10 people. No minimum attendance is required!

If you nevertheless can't make it on your booked date:

Option 1) We'll move the ticket to a different date.

Option 2) We'll provide all the material and a tutorial on how to do the required Schultüte at the same price.

Option 3) I can make a Schultüte for you. The paid fee can be used towards a product of your choice on the Schultüten online shop: Once you have chosen all the necessary details, the workshop fee will be considered, and only the difference has to be paid.
