Marlene Vlok | Johnman Wednesday Concerts

Marlene Vlok returns to perform an exciting recital program this Wednesday of music that contrasts stillness and motion, tenderness and fire. Featuring a personal and expressive program where each piece captures its own world. From the elegance of a late Beethoven sonata to the rhythmic power of Ginastera’s Danzas Argentinas and the poignant soundscape of Arnold Van Wyk, the programme weaves a tapestry of emotion across time and continents.

Join us this Wednesday! Because of an increasing demand for performances at Johnman Concerts, we are hosting a series of Wednesday-evening concerts until the beginning of September! We are looking forward to welcoming the following performers in the coming weeks:

13 August - Simon Wu (Solo piano recital)

20 August - Vivianna Shmanova Pearson and Dané van Graan (Dual piano recital)

27 August - Johanna Roos and Gerhard Joubert (Strauss Sonata in E-flat major, op.18)

3 September - Gretna Heineke and Carla van der Westhuizen ("Kreutzer Sonata" No.9)
