Ramon Alexander Trio

Pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator Ramon Alexander has been an active jazz performer on the Cape Town scene for about two decades. He has made a name for himself recording and performing with well-known musicians such as Terumasa Hino, Barry Likumahuwa, Robbie Jansen, Ibrahim Khalil Shihab (Chris Schilder from Pacific Express fame), Errol Dyers, McCoy Mrubata, Schalk Joubert, Frank Paco, Dizu Plaatjies, Mark Fransman, and many more.

Annemie Nel will join the party on drums. Acclaimed South African jazz writer and critic Percy Mabandu writes, "Her (Nel's) high-quality drumming is central to what makes this band (Ramon Alexander Group) remarkable. She is focused, energized, and deliciously musical. Captivating."
