ABOUT
Called "the funniest farce ever written", "Noises Off" is a classic play written by Michael Frayn that offers a hilarious glimpse behind the scenes of a theatrical production. The play-within-a-play presents a series of comedic mishaps and misunderstandings as a cast attempts to stage a farce with a mix of acting talent, two weeks of rehearsals and all that can go wrong, going wrong. Doors slamming, getting stuck, actors getting doors mixed up, and for some reason a plate of sardines that never knows where to be, sardines and doors, that might sum it all up.
In another brilliant collaboration between Michaelhouse and St Anne's Diocesan College, who bring you Jesus Christ Superstar in August later this year, a talented cast of Grade 11 boys and Grade 10 girls bring this physical comedy to life. The side-splitting comedy is a great piece of live entertainment aimed at a slightly older audience, but will be enjoyed by audiences 12 and over.
