The Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town, in collaboration with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, proudly presents Handel’s Messiah—a masterwork that has captivated audiences since its premiere in 1742. Since 1967, with only a brief pause in its history, the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town has upheld the tradition of performing Messiah at Easter, drawing audiences into its rich tapestry of prophecy, sacrifice, and triumph.

Famous for its triumphant “Hallelujah” Chorus, Messiah traces the life of Jesus Christ from foretelling to resurrection, offering a powerful reflection on faith, redemption, and the human experience.
