A soft and gentle journey into Ancient African Wisdom through African music with Multi-instrumentalist, Dave Reynolds is no stranger to the Slow Life family. He’s the unchallenged steelpan maestro of South Africa having performed and recorded with Hugh Masekela, Steve Newman, Andy Narell (USA), Tony Cox, Frank Paco and many others. His last collab (with Pops Mohamed) entitled SANDANCE THE SOUNDTRACK, garnered 11 international awards at film festivals in Paris, Vienna and all over the USA and his own albums have been nominated for SAMAs eight times. And then there’s the rich grooves of his ten string classical guitar and the heavenly sounds of his Paraguayan harp …

Multi-instrumentalist Victor Sithole joins us from his hometown of Durban. His dive into indigenous instrument-making and playing with

traditional zulu instruments such as udloko and makhoyane as well as the handpan has taken him to Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Cuba, Spain, Mexico & Germany.

Ancient Wisdom is a return to the original vibration of the universe, the Aum, the heartbeat. It’s a door into a sacred world inside us. It’s sacred. It’s African. It’s happening at the Holy Trinity Church in Kalk Bay.
